Þórhallur Bergmann is a lawyer licensed to practice before the District Court. He joined LEX in 2006 and has worked continuously with the firm since then. At LEX, Þórhallur has primarily focused on insolvency law and he oversees the firm’s practice in this field.

Þórhallur’s work has mainly involved acting as a trustee in bankruptcy estates and handling financial restructuring, as well as representing creditors, bankruptcy estates, and parties affected by clawback claims. Additionally, he provides legal counsel in this field, including to financial institutions, foreign legal entities, and bankruptcy trustees. He also has specialized expertise in real estate law and contractor law.

Fanney Frímannsdóttir, joined LEX‘s corporate and finance team in 2011 and became a partner in 2020. She specialises in commercial law, corporate finance and M&A.

Ólafur is a Supreme Court Attorney, authorised to practice before the district courts, Court of Appeals and the Supreme Court of Iceland. Ólafur began working as an associate at the Counsel Office upon completion of a law degree in 1992, and established his own practice in 1995. He joined LEX in 1999 and has worked there ever since.

Supreme Court Attorney, Kristín Edwald, joined LEX in 2002. Upon completion of a law degree from the University of Iceland, Kristín worked as an associate at the Counsel Office, until she became a legal expert in the Economic Crime Unit at the National Commissioner of Icelandic Police in 2000.

Örn Gunnarsson is the Managing Partner at LEX law offices, with a good oversight over the different practice areas at LEX. In his legal practice, Örn has mainly advised on the mergers and acquisitions (M&A), where he has over 20 years of professional experience both as a lawyer and as a corporate advisor.
