LEX advises Ardian on the acquisition of all shares in Míla
5. October, 2022LEX provided legal advice to the French private equity firm Ardian with respect to the acquisition of all shares in the telecommunications operator Míla ehf. The legal advice included, among other things, due diligence, assistance in the preparation and negotiation of share purchase agreement, financing agreements and agreements with co-investors, obtaining clearance from the Icelandic Competition Authority as well as negotiations with the Icelandic government.
The acquisition is the largest in Iceland for fifteen years.
Míla ehf. is Iceland’s largest telecommunications infrastructure company and owns a comprehensive network comprised of fixed broadband, mobile access and backhaul covering the entire country.
Ardian is a long-term investor in essential infrastructure and one of the largest private equity managers in Europe with around $140 billion of assets under management. Investors in Ardian’s funds include governments, pension funds, insurance companies and other institutional investors.
